Junior Maintenance Mechanic

The Opportunity...
We’re on the lookout for an adaptable, ambitious and mechanically inclined addition to our production team. This is a unique role requiring a unique candidate; someone open to change, willing to learn, and feels at home in a highly automated production facility.

The Role...
The primary function of this role will be to provide day-to-day support to the maintenance team, which can include:

• Daily machine setups
• Scheduled preventative maintenance
• Basic machine troubleshooting
• Completing work orders
• Collaborate with the supervisory team to identify issues, discuss solutions, and even identify opporunitties for better efficiencies and cost control.
• General building maintenance
• Welding
• Painting
• Soldering
• Cleaning, etc.
• Operating CNC machinery and providing general labour to the production team when necessary
• Provide general labour support to the production staff in other departments as well including: painting, packaging and shipping.

• a willingness to learn - take on new tasks, ask questions, and step outside of your comfort zone
• the ability to communicate - confidently interact with team members on all levels from all departments
• and a mechanical intuition - the ability to recognize improper machine functions by listening, watching, looking at the product, etc… you’re one with your machines
